Company History
R&L Landscapes, Inc. was founded in 1999 by Kevin Robinson and Charlie Lamp.
In order to support himself while attending Shepherd University, Charlie started a lawn mowing business out of the back of his truck. After returning from the military and enrolling at Shepherd, Kevin decided to join him. They both worked hard and invested the money they made from mowing into equipment for the company. This was the beginning of their successful partnership together.
By 2007, the company had grown to 20 employees and a small fleet of company vehicles. This allowed them to go above and beyond in the services that they offered. Both took great pride in the company’s professionalism.
In 2005, Kevin was diagonosed with cancer, and after battling the disease for 5 years, Kevin passed away in July, 2010.
Today and Future
Today, R&L Landscapes has 30+ employees, and is located in a 3,000 square foot building in Kearneysville, WV. Through hard work, professionalism and excellence in supporting our community, we have grown into the business Charlie and Kevin never dreamed possible.
